- This is the reproduction of the denim anorak hoodie used by the US Navy in the 1940s. The anorak hoodie was provided to cannoneers and soldiers handling ammunition and gunpowder and has a distinctive design with a double placket to protect the skin from explosives and a hood that can almost cover the face. It is a slightly light-ounce denim, but it is high-density and has a stiffness texture. Because the jacket was originally made for work, this jacket is made with a loose silhouette so that it can be worn over a shirt or knit.
