Found: The brand had a city and a clue. ‘Go to Milan. Find Mr E. His collection is wild’.
Inspiration: They found Mr E and a gem from the 1920's. Delicate, deep red acetate. Perfectly round lenses, connected with a double bridge.
Now: No messing with the roundness. They accentuated with chamfered edges. And explored the space between the 1920s double bridge for Panda’s single brow. A new take on a classic silhouette.
All Oscar Deen frames are made from Mazzucchelli acetate. They're Italian and have been top of the game since 1849. While the lenses are made from organic plastic. A combination of light-weight and optical clarity.
OD weren’t about to spend all this time creating bespoke frames to then dash them in some off the shelf case. The OD case is made in collaboration with London based leather artisan and mate, Otis Ingrams.
Each one is hand made in London, from 2 pieces of recycled composite leather, 4 brass rivets and one brass stud.
